The purpose of this study is two-fold : first, to understand the three changes assumed in implementing the long-term care insurance system, i.e., changes in industrial structure and employment structure, changes in life style, and changes in expenditure structure in household economies _of those families with elderly who require care, through the processing and analysis of the related governmental statistics, and second, to contribute to creating an environment for well-being of the elderly through such understanding.
